Stamford, CT – December 21, 2010 – “Tis the season of giving” and Saffron Road is certainly in the holiday spirit. In an effort to help feed the needy and homeless, the team at Saffron Road is donating nearly 900 of its frozen entrees to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley in Montgomery, New York.

Supporting organizations, such as the Food Bank, is an integral part of Saffron Road’s socially responsible mission and in line with its values of giving to others who may be less fortunate. “As someone who lives in the Hudson Valley, I see firsthand the difficulty families and struggling folks in our community are facing , even being able to afford a decent meal may be out of reach to some. Here at Saffron Road we are grateful to be able to help the needy during this time of giving,” says Saffron Road’s Executive Vice President, Jack Acree.

The Saffron Road brand encourages its local community and consumers across the country to consider giving to their local food bank as these organizations struggle to meet the needs of many economically depressed communities.
