Fastest Growing Entrée Brand Adds New World Cuisine Offerings
STAMFORD, Conn. (March 3, 2015) – Today, Saffron Road™, the fastest growing brand of all natural frozen entrees, is introducing 4 new frozen meals inspired by some of the world’s greatest cuisines, bringing the entrée portfolio to a total of 24 authentic, premium quality meals.
The launch comes as part of the brand’s commitment to bringing globally-inspired cuisine to Americans and each boast high-quality ingredients consistent with Saffron Road’s standards of excellence. Two of the dishes use 100% vegetarian fed, humanely-raised, antibiotic-free chicken, another features organic, firm tofu and the fourth meal includes protein rich, hand-crafted Paneer cheese.
The four new frozen entrees are:
Chicken Vindaloo – Vindaloo, a spicy Portuguese-Indian curry dish dating back to the 16th century spice trade, has become a hearty mainstay of contemporary Indian Cuisine, celebrated in song and savored by fans before soccer matches in England. Ours is prepared with chef-selected and flavorful dark meat chicken, marinated with an exotic tamarind-infused sauce, cumin, hot Indian spices and yogurt, then slow simmered for hours until tender and tangy. Served with Basmati rice.
Teriyaki Chicken - In Japan, they’ve been making soba noodles going back to the Tokugawa period. Soba was traditionally only for the elite Shoguns and Daimyo, feudal Japanese lords. Today these thin buckwheat noodles topped with a wonderful mélange of crunchy vegetables and flavorful dark meat boneless chicken glazed in teriyaki. So go Shogun on the Saffron Road and enjoy this dish.
Vegetable Pad Thai – Like Venice in Italy, Thailand’s magical Bangkok is built on a wide network of canals. So it should be no surprise that the art of the noodle is equally prized in each. Our Vegetable Pad Thai is a delightful version of this national dish featuring authentic Thai rice noodles topped with organic, firm tofu, carrots and scallions, in an exotic peanut sauce. Also of note, this entrée is in the process of being Verified Non-GMO by the Non-GMO Project.
Palak Paneer – From the fields of Northern India, Palak Paneer was born during the Moghul’s Akbar period. An Indian top chef favorite, packed with the goodness of spinach. Our version uses leafy spinach and protein rich hand-crafted farmer’s cheese, with a mild mélange of spices, carefully simmered to yield an exotic curry renowned for its heartiness and its sensational flavor. Served with Basmati rice, ours is sure to become your all-time favorite vegetarian dish.
Each of the entrees is Certified Halal and all but the Teriyaki Chicken meal, are also Certified Gluten Free.
