Pad Thai isn’t so Thai after all! Originating in China, it’s full name is “kway teow pad Thai”, which in Chinese means “Thai-style stir-fried noodles”. However, once Pad Thai was adopted as Thailand’s national dish in the 1930’s, local chefs included traditional Thai chilis – giving it the distinct flavor we know and love today, catapulting it into gastronomic superstardom.

Full Flavor!!
I enjoy flavorful foods, and Saffron Road offers this. Currys, Thai basil and pork, are all enjoyed. One thing I would change is less sodium. Most Americans consume too much sodium in prepared foods. Otherwise, the taste of each frozen meal I've tried is great.

I love Thai restaurants and especially Pad Thai. This frozen dinner is very, very close to restaurant quality. The taste is delicious.

The balance of flavors was very good along with the amount of each type of item. Many frozen meals skimp on the protein but this had just the right amount. The only cons for me were the total portion size at 10 oz. (12 oz. would be preferable) and the amount of sodium was a little high (but not overdone; I just prefer no salt -- it's nearly impossible to remove but you can always add salt to your preference).

This is the one that started it all for me. Its hard to mess up Pad Thai and this delivers. A little bit of a kick but its good especially to someone not used to a lot of spices. Very good portion size. Delicious. Love every Saffron Road frozen meal I have tried. On the fence? Just go out and get it. Not very spicy if you aren't into very spicy and the flavor is good and tasty.

This frozen meal is just delicious. The sauce is thick and peanut-ty. It tastes to me just like the Pad Thai I get at our local restaurant. Or it's close enough. Love it!
