Explore the dish that elevates simple rice into a complex masterpiece of Indian cuisine.

Did you know that…
The birthplace of Biryani wasn’t in India at all. Biryani is a mixture of the ancient Persian word “birinj” meaning rice and “birian” meaning fried before cooking. Some tales even credit Mumtaz Mahal, the queen who inspired the Taj Mahal, with its introduction. Perfected over generations, ours is hand-crafted with an epicurean blend of enticing spices, aromas and flavors.

Loved the subtle flavor and the chicken was great. I added some veggies and made two meals of it - will definitely stack up my freezer.

It smelled delicious while cooking, and the rice was pretty good. The chicken, however, was nasty-tasting and as someone else said, more tidbits than actual pieces. They really scrape the bottom of the barrel with cheap morsels of low-quality chicken that were left over from industrial processes.

I've tried a lot of different frozen Indian & Thai dishes and they are usually pretty bad and almost always soggy. This Biryani was very good, mine had lots of rice and was nicely spiced. I could have used some yogurt with this. Tried the Masala today and it was a runny watery soggy mess, Biryani is much better!

I have always enjoyed this biryani but today, I got a strand of hair mixed with my meat. I do love the flavor, but now I question the conditions by which they are being packaged.

I have to start my review by stating that being in Kentucky, catching site of Saffron Food (or any other halal food) is a sight for sore eyes! What a pleasant surprise. This is a good product but calling it biryani is a stretch. It's basically a piece of chicken masala with rice. I found the chicken to be adequate but the rice serving was small. Overall not bad, but definitely not biryani.
