Big Moves Afoot!


The direction of Saffron Road Motorcycle Tours has changed!

Due to altered circumstances and amazing opportunities, I have made the decision to move on to new pastures.

The operational reins for all Saffron Road tours in the Indian Subcontinent (India, Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan) are being passed into the experienced hands of our Nepalese partners, Sacred Summits. They also plan to take over the Mongolia tours from 2013.

The Saffron Road website will stay, but there are now direct links to highly professional ground operators in Europe and Africa (previously Saffron Road’s ground operators).

These operators have been in the business for many years and, to back up our own recommendations, I am sure would be happy to put you in touch with other clients who have ridden with them before.

Launching, and then running, Saffron Road has been a lot of fun and an extremely rewarding experience. Over the years I have travelled far, dealt with challenging events, met scores of terrific people and been party to the fulfilment of many a dream. Through interaction with clients and work colleagues I’ve been fortunate to make some wonderful friends who have enriched my life beyond measure.

To everyone who has supported me over the years and those who have travelled with Saffron Road in the past (and those who will travel with SR in the future), I thank you.

So Where to Now?

Through the twists and turns of fate, I have been given the opportunity to return to my previous life of journalism and encouraged to devote more time to writing and filming documentaries. Happily, as part of this change, there will still be the chance to promote and participate in more Saffron Road charity fund-raising rides and support some amazing projects. Hopefully many of you will join me in these ventures.

Once again, I thank you for your interest and participation over the years and wish you the very best for the future.
