Saffron Road Tours’ aim is to combine in-depth cultural experience with motorcycling magic.
Motorcycle touring is our passion and we ride to see the world. Since 1996 we have escorted fellow motorcycle riders to unique destinations, providing them with life changing experiences. Our tours allow participants time to relish day-to-day opportunities, travelling moderate distances, in small groups with experienced guides.
Our tours are not about riding through a country and ticking it off a list, or seeing a destination through peripheral vision. Our tour leaders strive to foster a true empathy for a country and stimulate an understanding of its people and its traditions. We encourage people to leave their Western values and preconceptions at home so they can appreciate an alternative and sometimes exciting new view of life.
Tours are not conducted like school outings ~ group members generally ride at their own pace and, although knowledgeable local guides are on-hand to answer questions, organized sightseeing is kept to a minimum so members can indulge their individual interests.
While our tours are very much about adventure and wilderness riding (and all that implies), we offer an exceptional standard of service with a high staff-to-client ratio to ensure the experience is as safe and comfortable as possible.

Not all companies are created equal and not all itineraries and inclusions will appeal to everyone. However, when making a decision, things to compare should include:
- Actual number of days in the country
- Total number of ride days
- Length of ride days
- “All Meals Included,” means ALL meals – every day (rather than, “as indicated”)
- Motorcycle damage insurance
- Staff gratuities
- Quality of accommodation and support
- Quality late-model, fully-optioned bikes
- Level of pampering!

Saffron Road Motorcycle Tours is a registered company operating fully-escorted, all-inclusive, fun, adventure motorbike vacations into exciting destinations such as India (Rajasthan, the High Himalaya – Ladakh & Kashmir), Bhutan, Namibia, South Africa, Vietnam, Peru and ‘The Land of Blue Skies’ – Mongolia.
Customised private tours are our specialty and, with enough notice we can arrange just about anywhere for up to 25 participants.
We also cater to the corporate incentive market and the film industry.
A percentage of all Saffron Road profit goes to a charity or humanitarian project in the destination country.
